Hasto Documents Confiscated By The KPK Contain Megawati's Order Regarding Pilkada

JAKARTA - The KPK confiscated a secret document from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) from Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto. The document is in the form of a notebook containing Megawati Soekarnoputri's direction.

"An important document belonging to the PDI-P is related to the direction of the General Chair (Megawati)," said PDIP Legal Team, Johannes Tobing, to VOI, Thursday, June 13.

The directive is related to the PDIP's strategy to face the 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada). In addition, the directive is addressed to all cadres.

"It is addressed to all administrators of Ratting, DPC and DPD to DPP regarding the implementation and important strategies for simultaneous Pilkkada throughout Indonesia," he said.

The document was confirmed not to be related to the Harun Masiku case. Therefore, the confiscation steps taken by KPK investigators were considered a mistake.

"It belongs to the party, not to Pak Hasto, which has nothing to do with the Harun Masiku case. Obviously this is a seizure and a violation of the law," said Johannes.

Meanwhile, KPK investigator Kompol Rossa confiscated Hasto's belongings, including 2 cellphones and notebooks.

Then, one cellphone belonging to Hasto's staff named Kusnadi, and Kusnadi's savings book.
