Eid Al-Adha Long Holiday 2024, KAI Records 747,575 Tickets Sold Out
JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI noted that the total train tickets for the Eid al-Adha holiday that were sold had reached 747,575 tickets.
KAI's VP of Public Relations Joni Martinus said the total train tickets sold for departure from Friday, June 14 to Tuesday, June 18, were 455,041 tickets or an average of 91,008 tickets per day.
The total number reached 61 percent of the total train tickets sold as many as 747,575 tickets. This ticket sales figure will continue to move along with the long weekend period," Joni said in an official statement, Wednesday, June 12.
So far, continued Joni, the favorite routes for the community in the long weekend period are Jakarta-Surabaya pp, Jakarta-Solo pp, Jakarta-Malang pp, Yogyakarta-Banyuwangi pp, Blitar-Bandung pp, and other relations.
Joni also said that in anticipation of a surge in customers on the Eid holiday, KAI will operate 24 additional trains to various relations on the island of Java.
Joni said, the increase in the number of train trips was part of KAI's commitment to improve services to customers, especially during high seasons such as the holiday period of Eid al-Adha.
"In providing rail transportation, especially during the long weekend period, KAI ensures that it will serve the community safely and free from congestion on the highway. So that vacation moments with family or relationships can be enjoyed by customers comfortably and comfortably," said Joni.
