Kejari Kejari Former Sukanagara Village Head Garut Fugitive Corruption Village Fund Sentenced To 7.3 Years In Prison
The prosecutor's office is hunting for Aang Kunaefi, the former village head (Kades) of Sukanagara in Garut, a defendant in a corruption case in the misappropriation of the village fund budget which was sentenced to seven years and three months in prison.
The Garut District Attorney (Kejari) said the Head of Sukanagara Village, Cisompet District, Garut Regency has now been on the wanted list (DPO).
"The status of the DPO alias fugitive is currently in the process of being searched," said Head of the Intelligence Section of the Garut District Attorney's Office (Kejari), Jaya P. Sitompul in Garut, Wednesday, June 12, confiscated by Antara.
He said that the corruption case of village funds occurred when Aang Kunaefi served as Sukanagara Village Head for the 2019-2020 period.
Jaya said that when the Garut Kejari was about to execute Aang Kunaefi, the defendant disappeared for one year.
"Approximately a year (of the season)," said Jaya.
So far, Jaya said that the Garut Kejari continues to search for the defendant Aang Kunaefi while monitoring the legal process in question until he is found guilty by the Bandung Corruption Court (PN).

In the trial that ensnared Aang Kunaefi, the person concerned was never present but the case continued until the verdict. Even during the investigation and investigation process at the Garut Kejari level, Aang Kunaefi never fulfilled the summons for examination.
Previously, former Sukanagara Village Head Aang Kunaefi was found guilty in a corruption case in the misappropriation of the village fund budget by the Panel of Judges at the Special Class IA Corruption Court in Bandung, Monday, June 10, 2024.
The panel of judges stated that Aang Kunaefi committed acts of corruption in the village fund budget for the 2019 to 2020 fiscal year so that his actions caused state financial losses of Rp931 million.
The panel of judges decided that Aang Kunaefi was sentenced to seven years and three months in prison, and a fine of Rp. 300 million, if not paid, it was replaced with imprisonment for six months.
In addition, Aang Kunaefi was also sentenced to an additional penalty, namely to compensate for the amount of state money losses, if not replaced within a month's time limit, his assets will be confiscated and auctioned off to pay compensation.
If his assets are unable to cover the loss of state money, his successor will be sentenced to three years in prison.
