Avoid Drama After Ran Aground In Relationship, Elma Dae Wants To Separate Well

JAKARTA - Dramas often appear in a love story that leads to the end. But for young singer, Elma Dae, there is a more peaceful way to give up the loss of a relationship.

Elma describes it through the latest single titled 'Good Choice'. The song was released under the auspices of the Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia label, and is already available on various digital streaming platforms.

"Good separation" offers a different point of view from a young woman who realizes that sincere love does not always lead to an eternal commitment. There are times when the couple doesn't seem ready to have a relationship, the best choice is a peaceful and angerless farewell.

In terms of creativity, "Good Parting" became a special work on Elma Dae's career because the work was the first time the musician worked on a solo song.

"This is indeed the first time I have written a song alone, and thankfully the process went quite smoothly," said Elma Dae in a written broadcast received by VOI. "In addition, I am also very grateful that I have received assistance and support from various parties who are very capable," he added.

The soloist who is a member of Yovie Widianto Music Factory (YWMF) admits that the song comes from his personal experience which is quite bitter.

"Realitanya, kita tidak perlu menyamakan perusahan dengan drama atau pertangan," lanjut Elma Dae.

"Relationship that doesn't go according to expectations is painful. Having a partner who doesn't focus on our hearts or is difficult to keep promises is painful. However, when we and our partner are already at the end of the road, I realize that separating amicably, without anger or revenge, is something that is very positive."

As the author of the song "Self-Good", Elma Dae also explained the meaning and message behind her latest song.

"Not all failed relationships have to end with swearing or floods of tears. After all, in a way that may be quite unique, our failed ex-lover and relationship really helps us to become more resilient humans as well as become more mature humans," he explained.

The pop maestro, Yovie Widianto, who had worked on Elma Dae's previous works, warmly welcomed the musician's willingness to transform into a singer-songwriter.

"I see that Elma Dae's ability to sing and the sensitivity she has in accompanying song lyrics is an impressive combination," said Yovie Widianto.

"By writing his own song, Elma Dae is increasingly showing his distinctive character as a musician. In addition, it seems that Elma Dae is quite proficient in choosing dictions that can create resonances with the listeners of the song," he added.

In the end, as the music producer of "Good Part", Adrian Rahmat Purwanto hopes that Elma Dae's "Good Part" can be an example of modern pop ballads.

"The uniqueness of this song is how traditional elements of a ballad are combined with contemporary rhythms inspired by today's music. Thankfully the lyrics and notations that Elma Dae worked on were able to mix with the production and color of the music. Elma Dae has proven to have the potential to become a singer-songwriter," concluded Adrian.
