SMAN 9 Mataram BOSS Fund IDR 2 Billion In Circulation, Police Intervene

MATARAM - Mataram City Police, West Nusa Tenggara, is handling a case of alleged misappropriation of operational assistance funds (BOS) for State Senior High School (SMAN) 9 Mataram.

Head of the Mataram Police Satreskrim Kompol I Made Yogi Purusa Utama revealed that the alleged fraud was related to the inflating of SMAN 9 Mataram BOS funds for the 2021-2022 budget year.

"Regarding this allegation, we are currently still conducting an investigation," said Yogi, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, June 10.

In this investigation stage, the police have scheduled a request for information from SMAN 9 Mataram, starting from non-permanent employees, teachers, treasurers, heads and heads of SMAN 9 Mataram.

"The head and deputy principal have not yet been clarified," he said.

SMAN 9 Mataram in the 2021-2022 period managed BOS funds worth IDR 2 billion. Allegations of budget inflations emerged in a number of physical projects sourced from BOS funds, such as the procurement of paving blocks and the construction of school parks.

Yogi said that in this investigation stage, the police did not only clarify, but there was also a request for data from SMAN 9 Mataram regarding the accountability report for the use of BOS funds for the 2021-2022 period.

By conveying the progress of such handling, Yogi emphasized that his party was still investigating the criminal act of the alleged abuse.

"So, for the time being, we cannot conclude the others because there is still an agenda that we must carry out at the investigation stage," he said.
