Chronology Of Car Rental Boss From Jakarta Killed By Masses In Pati
PATI - A rental boss from Jakarta who was about to take his car in Pati Regency was killed, while three of his colleagues were critical. The chronology of this case began when BH (52), the rental boss, detected his white Honda Mobilio car in Pati, Thursday 6 June 2024.
Initially, his car that was rented by people did not come back. The car was then detected via GPS in Sumbersoko Village, Sukolilo District, Pati Regency.
Together with their three partners, SH, KB, and S, they headed to the location using Sigra's car.
For a moment, they were found, they immediately took the car unit using a spare key without any notification from the local community.
Residents who knew about the suspicious foreigners in their village shouted at the thief. Sigra's car contains three people running towards the forest and walking in a dead end.
The rental owner, BH, used a Mobilio car to almost leave the village, but was successfully intercepted by local residents at the only access road to the village.
Three victims in a Sigra car from the forest were paraded to the village. The car was burned. They were also heavily abused.
The owner of a rental and his car were then taken back to the settlement and ganged up on him until he finally died.
The head of Sumbersoko Village, Subrono, admitted that he was surprised after receiving complaints from residents regarding the alleged theft of cars in his area. This is because his village is in the middle of the hills of the Kendeng Mountains and only has two access in and out of the village.
The police have named three Pati residents as suspects. A number of witnesses continue to be questioned further.
Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pati Police, Kompol Alfan Armin, said that the case was continuously being investigated and it was estimated that the video footage circulating would add other suspects after a number of witnesses were questioned further.
"We are still investigating the perpetrators of the beating. We are currently developing to find the perpetrators," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pati Police, last Sunday.
Residents involved in the massive beatings that resulted in death were threatened with Article 170 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 12 years in prison.
