Investigating Harun Masiku's Fugitive Case, KPK Waits For The Presence Of PDIP Secretary General Hasto Today

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has scheduled a summons to the Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto today, Monday, June 10. He will be questioned regarding former PDIP candidate Harun Masiku, who is still at large today.

"(The examination, red) is right, it is scheduled for June 10," said KPK Spokesperson Team Budi Prasetyo when confirmed, Monday, June 10.

Budi said investigators were waiting for Hasto's presence at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. He was asked to prove his statement to attend.

"As Pak Hasto recently said in the media, we are sure he will be present at the scheduled time," he said.

Hasto was asked to appear before investigators at 10.00 WIB. He was the fourth witness summoned after the KPK pocketed new information regarding the fugitive.

As previously reported, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto confirmed that he would fulfill the KPK's summons. He said, he could perform it if he was not present because this institution was established in the era of PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri to become the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia.

"It was the KPK that founded Mrs. Mega. Later, if I don't come, I will pray. Then come," said Hasto at an event held at the PDIP Party School, Lenteng Agung, Jakarta, Thursday, June 6.

Hasto admitted that he was ready to fulfill the call when his name was mentioned. In fact, before he received an invitation from the investigator.

"If necessary before the invitation comes, we are ready to come. That's what he meant, don't come first," he said with a laugh.

The former member of the DPR RI said he would not ask to be escorted by the party. As during the examination at the Polda Metro Jaya some time ago, Hasto admitted that he would come to the KPK with his attorney.

"If it's a matter of moving downwards, well, that's just the mass, we move together. If it's a matter (of law, ed) like this, just let it go," he said.

Meanwhile, Harun Masiku is a suspect in giving bribes to former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan. This gift was given so that he could sit as a member of the DPR through interim shifts (PAW).
