One Of The 88 Rare Units Of Ferrari 512 TR Will Soon Be Auctioned

JAKARTA - RM Sotheby's auction house will auction a rare classic sports car, namely the 1992 Ferrari 512 TR on Wednesday, June 12, in England.

Launching information from the auction house, June 10, this car is one of only 88 units that have a right steering wheel of a total production of 2,280 units. This Ferrari 512 TR has aceron interior with the exterior Rosso Corsa according to the original factory.

Back to its history, 12 TR was first launched in 1991 as the evolution of the popular Ferrari Testarossa. The new model retains most of its predecessor's style, but the bodywork designed by Pininfarina has a softer curve than the iconic Testarossa wedge shape.

The 4.9-liter flat-12 engine, which has a new engine management system from Bosch, increases its Ferrari 512 TR to 434 dk power, is claimed to have performed at the highest speed of 195 mph (114 km/h) and acceleration of 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in just 4.7 seconds.

Interestingly, the car originally owned by Hong Seh Motors in Singapore only has a distance of 3,932 miles (6,326 km). In addition, the car has only been restored at a cost of 43,000 pounds or the equivalent of Rp. 889 million. Well, it's no wonder to see the cost of restoring this car is offered at a price ranging from 220,000-260,000 pounds (equivalent to Rp. 4.5 billion - Rp. 5.7 billion).
