KPK Reminds Elected Candidates: Immediately Submit Wealth Reports

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) reminded legislative candidates elected in the 2024 Legislative Election to immediately submit a report on the assets of state administrators (LHKPN). They have up to 21 days before being inaugurated.

"To the elected legislative candidates from the DPR RI, district/city and provincial DPRDs, we urge them to immediately complete the LHKPN report 21 days before the inauguration," said KPK Spokesperson Tessa Mahardika Sugiarto to reporters quoted on Saturday, June 8.

Tessa said this report had to be submitted so that their inauguration would not be disrupted. The Indonesian House of Representatives candidates will be sworn in in October 2024.

"So that there are no administrative problems with the KPU in the future," he said.

For information, the anti-corruption commission has written to the Chairman of the KPU Hasyim Asy'ari regarding the obligation for legislative candidates to attach an LHKPN. This is because KPU Regulation (PKPU) Number 11 of 2023 does not have a clause on the wealth report that must be submitted.

After that, the KPK agreed with the KPU to submit this report to the elected candidates.
