Budget For The Ministry Of SOEs In The Prabowo-Gibran Era Down, Erick Thohir Asks For Additional IDR 66 Billion

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir revealed that the budget set for the Ministry of SOEs in the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka era was IDR 277 billion.

This number is down 10 percent when compared to the 2024 ceiling.

"The 2025 ceiling has now been determined by the Ministry of Finance for IDR 277 billion, but of course this is 16 percent lower than the previously IDR 328 (billion in 2023) ceiling or also 10 percent lower than the 2024 ceiling," he said in a meeting with Commission VI of the DPR, at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Friday, June 7.

In the DPR's absorption, Erick asked for support so that the Ministry of SOEs received an additional budget of IDR 66.6 trillion for the 2025 ceiling.

"Therefore, thank you for the support of commission VI which can encourage an increase of approximately Rp. 66 billion that we can get, so that the indicative ceiling that we hope for in 2025 is at Rp. 344 billion," he said.

Furthermore, Erick said the additional budget would be used to support the main duties and responsibilities of the Ministry of SOEs in carrying out development and supervision.

"This is in line with what commission VI always emphasizes to us, that the importance of increasing supervision for the development of SOEs itself," he said.

Erick said the additional budget was in line with the increasing dividend target.

He said the dividend target that was set this year was IDR 85 trillion.

"Indeed, we plan that in 2024 the targeted dividend will be around Rp. 85 trillion. So it's up from Rp. 81 trillion, now that's the importance of supporting surveillance and operational funds from us, from the Ministry of SOEs," he said.
