Just Completed 15 PLBN, The Ministry Of PUPR Still Has Homework To Build Three More
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has completed the construction of 15 cross-border posts (PLBN) since 2015.
However, in the period 2015 to 2024, the Ministry of PUPR is targeted to build 18 PLBN. Thus, currently there are still three PLBNs that have not been completed.
This was conveyed by the Secretary of the Directorate General (Dirjen) of Housing M Hidayat representing the Ministry of PUPR at the Coordination Meeting for the Management of Regional Boundaries and Border Areas for 2020-2024 and the Planning for the Development of Border Areas for 2025-2029 in Jakarta, on Thursday, June 6.
"From 2015 to 2024, it is targeted that the construction of 18 PLBN with 15 PLBN achievements until 2023 will be completed. Consisting of seven PLBNs built in wave I, namely Aruk, Entikong, Badau (Kalbar), Motaain, Motamasin, Wini (NTT) and Skouw (Papua)," Hidayat said in a written statement, Friday, June 7.
Then, as many as eight PLBNs were completed in the construction of wave II, namely Serasan (Kepri), Jagoi Babang (Kalbar), Sei Pancang/Sei Mosquito (Kaltara), Napan (NTT), Yetetkun, Sota (South Papua), Long Nawang and Labang (Kaltara).

Hidayat added that there are two PLBNs that have not been implemented, namely Sei Kelik (Kalbar) because road access to PLBN is not feasible and there are land problems, and PLBN Oepoli (NTT) due to state boundary problems with Timor Leste, namely the determination of the coordinate points between the Naktuka and Citrana segments.
"Meanwhile, one PLBN has terminated the contract, namely Long Midang (Kaltara) because it is constrained by access to the location and will continue if there is sufficient access for completion of the work," he said.
The development of PLBN is an effort by the government to maintain state sovereignty and reduce disparities and equalize infrastructure development, especially in border areas.
