KKB Attacks Yahukimo Papua, One TNI Victim Gets Shot

YAHUKIMO- A member of the TNI Kodim 1715/Yahukimo suffered gunshot wounds as a result of the attack by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) of Kodap XVI Yahukimo in Dekai District, Yahukimo Regency, Papua Mountains Province on Thursday, June 6.

The Cartenz Peace Operations Task Force (Satgas) 2024 responded quickly to the shooting.

Head of the Cartenz Peace Operations Public Relations Task Force AKBP Bayu Suseno in a written statement in Timika, Friday, said that the KKB carried out the shooting on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 18.20 WIT.

"The shooting by the KKB took place on Jalan Seradala Kilometer 2 Dekai District, Yahukimo Regency, Papua Province, Mountains," he said, quoted from ANTARA, Friday, June 7.

According to Bayu, the attack by KKB Kodap XVI Yahukimo resulted in one member of the TNI Kodim 1715/Yahukimo being injured.

"One member of Kodim 1715/Yahukimo on behalf of Pratu Rajami Uhio suffered a gunshot wound to his left thigh," he said.

He explained that the 2024 Cartenz Peace Operations Task Force for the Yahukimo area received information via the Yahukimo Police HT radio that gunshots had been heard.

"The shot was an action carried out by KKB Kodap XVI Yahukimo from Jalan Seradala, precisely at the Kilometer 2 Dekai Bridge, which injured Pratu Rajami Uhio," he explained.

He added that after receiving the report, the Cartenz 2924 Peace Operations Task Force team immediately responded to the crime scene (TKP).

"Currently, the victim Pratu Rajami Uhio is at Dekai Yahukimo Hospital for medical treatment, the Cartenz Peace Operations Task Force will take firm and measured action against the KKB," he said.
