Indonesia Condemns Israeli Reservoir Attack On Al Aqsa During March Flag

JAKARTA - Indonesia condemned the attack of hundreds of Israeli settlers on the Al Aqsa Mosque during the March Flag Parade or celebration.

"This action is provocative and hurts the feelings of Muslims worldwide," said the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs through X, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, June 6.

In his statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that all violations and violence committed by Israel, including in the Gaza Strip, must be stopped immediately.

A number of Palestinians, including journalists, were reportedly injured after being attacked by a mob of Israelis who stormed the Al Aqsa Complex in Jerusalem, Wednesday (5/6).

The raid comes as Flag March, which is an Israeli day to commemorate Israel's seizure of Jerusalem during the 1967 Arab-Israeli war.

About 1,000 Israelis raised flags and chanted anti-Palestinian slogans during the march.

Israelis have also reportedly attacked Palestinian-owned shops, and urged them to close shops because Israelis will hold parades.
