Indonesia Open 2024: Mixed Doubles Remaining Dejan/Gloria
JAKARTA - Dejan Ferdinansyah/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja became the sole representative for the host of the mixed doubles in the quarter-finals of the Indonesia Open 2024.
Dejan/Gloria passed the second round of the tournament after defeating the fourth seed from South Korea, Seo Seung-jae/Chae Yu-jung, in three games with a score of 21-15, 15-21, and 21-4 at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, June 6, 2024, afternoon WIB.
This is Dejan/Gloria's first win over the pair. In the three clashes before this tournament, they always lost.
"We are grateful that we were able to play well and that became the capital for us to play today," said Dejan after the match.

In the quarter-finals later, Dejan/Gloria will meet a pair from Thailand, Dechapol Puavaranukroh/Sapsiree Taerattanachai.
Dechapol/Sapsiree themselves stepped into the quarter-finals after repatriating compatriot Dejan/Gloria, namely the couple Adnan Maulana/Nita Violina Marwah.
"Facing the quarter-finals, each player has a chance. We will do our best to be able to go far in the tournament," said Dejan.
Dejan/Gloria and Adnan/Nita are the remaining two mixed doubles representatives who have penetrated the second round of the four representatives who have competed at the Indonesia Open 2024.
The other couple, namely Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati and Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari, had already raised their suitcases in the first half.
