Progres Jalan Sumbu Kebangsaan IKN Capai 56.83 Percent Bakal Rampung Juli 2024

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) said that the physical progress of Jalan Sumbu Kebangsaan in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) has reached 56.83 percent to date.

It is hoped that the Jalan Sumbu Kebangsaan can be completed in July 2024 to support the implementation of the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia which will be held at IKN.

"We have completed the entire National Asymptomatic Circle for the end of July 2024 for the celebration of August 17 at IKN," said Director General of Highways of the Ministry of PUPR Hedy Rahadian in his official statement, Thursday, June 6.

The National Ambu Road, which will be completed in July, has a length of 5.4 kilometers (km) with a width of 23 meters (m). Later this road will have 6 lanes, of which 1 lane is specifically used for buses and Autonomous-rail Rapid Transit (ART).

"So, we made a kind of mock-up for the typical road along this National quad circle. There are 6 road lanes, 2.7 m wide bicycle lanes, 4 m wide pedestrians equipped with 3 lines of plants," he said.

Hedy said that in the first row there would be shady plants such as pule and flamboyant trees, the second row of plants with certain color extracts such as bungur and the third row of ketapang dating trees.

"Later on, if it grows heavily, these trees will cover cyclists and pedestrians," he said.

The overall budget allocation for the National Ambu Road is IDR 3.19 trillion, which is carried out by PP-Markinah KSO.

The plan, Jalan Sumbu Kebangsaan is equipped with a multi utility tunnel (MUT) as a system that integrates drainage, clean water, telecommunications and electrical.

In addition, to support the comfort of pedestrians and cyclists, Jalan Sumbu Kebangsaan provides a number of street furniture, including shelters, benches, water drinking Fountains, bike stands and trash bins spread across several points so that they are easily accessible to users.
