Man In Tampaksiring Bali Shoots Motorcyclist With Air Rifle, The Motive Is Jealousy
GIANYAR - The man with the initials IPB (33) was arrested by the Tampaksiring police, Bali, for shooting a motorcyclist using an air rifle.
The victim who was shot with the initials IDB (43) with the exact bullet condition hit the back of the victim's head.
The victim also had to undergo surgery at the Prof. IGNG Ngoerah Hospital in Denpasar to remove the bullet in his head. After the operation, the victim reported the case to the police.
"The victim of the operation was removed, the bullet was an air rifle stuck in his head," said Tampaksiring Police Chief AKP I Putu Agus Ady Wijaya, Wednesday, June 5.
The incident occurred on Jalan Raya Ir Soekarno, Banjar Bukit, Tampaksiring Village, Gianyar Regency, Bali, on Saturday (1/6) at around 18.45 WITA.
At that time, the victim was riding his motorbike and had just returned from work and was suddenly shot with an air rifle by an unknown motorcyclist from behind. The victim was shocked and tried to chase the perpetrator.
"After that there was a vehicle through him, the victim chased the perpetrator up to the hill. But he could not catch up because of the pain in the head and also the blood came out so the victim returned for treatment," he added.

After the report from the victim, the police immediately conducted an investigation and arrested the perpetrator in his hometown in Karangasem Regency, Wednesday (5/6) in the early hours of the morning.
Meanwhile, the motive for shooting the victim with an air rifle was jealousy towards the perpetrator because it was suspected that his ex-girlfriend had a new lover, namely the victim.
"According to the perpetrator's statement, there was hurt or jealousy towards the victim," he said.
For his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 352 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code, with a maximum penalty of 2 years and 8 months in prison.
