Groundbreaking BTN Office In IKN, Jokowi: Complementing The Presence Of Previous BUMN Banks
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) laid the first stone or groundbreaking for the PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk office building in the Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN), North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan Province, today.
In his remarks, Jokowi emphasized the importance of investment in order to maximize IKN development as a step towards a better future.
"So, if the State Savings Bank (BTN) builds its head office or its branch in the archipelago, it's not wrong. Because there will indeed be a lot of need for financing for property investment in IKN," Jokowi said as seen on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube, Wednesday, June 5.
Although BTN's groundbreaking activities at IKN are a bit late, Jokowi still appreciates the bank's move to continue building its office building in the new capital city.

"Once again, I really appreciate the development of the State Savings Bank at IKN to complete the presence of state-owned banks that had previously laid the first stone. BTN is a little late, but it's okay, Deputy President Director (Wadirut)," he said.
According to Jokowi, the most important thing is that the desired economic transformation in IKN can still be achieved with a predetermined target time.
"And by saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, this morning I officially declare that the groundbreaking for the construction of the PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk office building has begun," he added.
