Resigning From The Deputy OIKN, Dhony Rahajoe Claims A Form Of Responsibility To The Public
JAKARTA - Former Deputy Head of the IKN Authority (OIKN) Dhony Rahajoe stated that his resignation was a form of his responsibility to the public for his limitations in carrying out the mandate entrusted to him.
Dhony made this statement in response to public questions regarding his decision to resign ahead of the August 17, 2024 ceremony at IKN.
"This resignation is a form of my responsibility to the public for my limitations as Deputy Head of Authority who has not been able to do much for IKN, in line with the spirit and goals of IKN development, namely building a new history and a new civilization," he said via text message to ANTARA in Jakarta, Tuesday, June 4.
He acknowledged that his decision to step down, especially ahead of the 79th Indonesian Independence Day ceremony in the archipelago, had raised public questions and raised various counterproductive speculations.
However, Dhony stated that he had to make this very tough decision in order to support the spirit of transformation in the development of IKN.
"I believe this country is always fine. Everything that is complicated must be unraveled, and the slow one must be accelerated," he said.
