BSI Urges Customers To Beware Of Fraud Ahead Of Eid Al-Adha

JAKARTA - PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) (BRIS) urges customers to be careful about the mode of crime under the guise of information about changes in tariffs between banks that are informed through personal WhatsApp.

BSI Corporate Secretary Wisnu Sunandar said BSI invites the public, especially BSI customers, to be aware of responding to illegal information that comes in via online messages or by telephone. As is known, the online banking crime mode or cyber crime has entered various communication channels, one of which is Whatsapp.

"For this reason, we regularly appeal to customers to check periodic account balances at BSI Mobile/print checking accounts, change the debit card password/BSI Hasanah Card card, and also the BSI Mobile password," he said, Tuesday, June 4.

"Information on the update of transaction fees at BSI can be accessed regularly through the BSI website," he continued.

Wisnu added that entering June 2024, it coincided with the arrival of Eid al-Adha, the need for transactions increased because plans to purchase sacrificial animals and routine activities included payment of school needs.

"For this reason, we invite customers to periodically check financial transactions and also not provide personal data passwords, OTP to families, individuals on behalf of BSI and other parties other than yourself," concluded Wisnu.
