AP II Notes That 61,988 Prospective Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims Have Departed
PT Angkasa Pura II noted that it had served the departure of 61,988 prospective Indonesian pilgrims to the holy land which is part of 149 flying groups (kloters) through six airports managed.
The number of prospective pilgrims is the accumulation of departures during the period 12 to 30 May.
Pgs. SVP of Corporate Secretary AP II Cin Asmoro said the number had reached 66.05 percent of the total prospective pilgrims scheduled to depart from six AP II airports as many as 95,076 people in 231 clusters from May 12 to June 10.
Cin said the six airports that were outlined for the departure of prospective hajj candidates were Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Tangerang), Kertajati Airport (Majalengka), Kualanamu Airport (Deli Serdang), Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport (Palembang), Minangkabau Airport (Padang) and Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport (Aceh).
Furthermore, Cin said that all operational and service facilities at the six airports are always ready to ensure the smooth departure of prospective hajj candidates.
"The departure of prospective hajj candidates from AP II airport is still ongoing until June 10, 2024, and we ensure that all operational and service facilities can always be ready. Collaboration continues with all parties, including airlines and ground handling, and we are grateful for the support of the Ministry of Religion, Ministry of Transportation, TNI and Polri," said Cin in Jakarta, Sunday, June 2.
Based on data from AP II, for the period 12 to 30 May 2024, Soekarno-Hatta Airport is the largest and busiest airport in Indonesia that has served the departure of 34,584 hajj candidates in 82 groups.
The prospective pilgrims departing from Soekarno-Hatta Airport came from Pondok Gede Hajj Dormitory and Bekasi Hajj Dormitory. At Soekarno-Hatta Airport, prospective hajj candidates can go through the fast track Makkah Route facility to process immigration in Saudi Arabia," he explained.
Meanwhile, continued Cin, the number of Hajj candidates departing from Kertajati Airport, Majalengka as of May 30, 2024 was 8,354 Hajj candidates from 19 groups, out of 30 plots planned to depart from Kertajati.
Kertajati Airport has also provided facilities that facilitate access for Hajj candidates such as escalators, elevators, places of worship and public facilities.
It is also confirmed that the officers are ready at the airport to serve the congregation at the airport.

Then at Kualanamu Airport, Deli Serdang, the number of prospective hajj candidates departing as of May 30, 2024 was 5,708 Hajj candidates in 16 groups.
Then, at Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport (Palembang) there were 6,274 Hajj candidates in 14 groups.
Meanwhile, the number of Hajj candidates departing from Minangkabau Airport, Padang, West Sumatra as of May 30, 2024 was 6,282 Hajj candidates in 16 groups.
Then, Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport, Aceh, 786 prospective pilgrims departing from May 29 to 30, 2024 from two groups. Where the first batch of Hajj candidates departed on May 29 from Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport. It is planned that a total of 12 groups will depart.
