GTS International Receives Visit To The FMP Defense Study Program Team For The Indonesian Defense University
JAKARTA - PT GTS Internasional Tbk (GTSI), a subsidiary of PT Humpuss Maritime Internasional Tbk. (HUMI) received an academic visit from the Energy Resilience Study Program Team of the Defense Faculty of the Defense University of the Republic of Indonesia (FMP UNHAN RI) to the Java One Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) in Cilamaya on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.
The visit was attended by a number of officials at FMP UNHAN, and led directly by the Dean of FMP Defense University RI, Rear Admiral TNI Dr. Sri Yanto, ST, M.Si (Han), represented by Deputy Dean II of FMP Defense University RI, Brigadier General TNI Fahrid Amran, SH, MH, and accompanied by the Head of Energy Resilience (KE), Dr. Sri Murtiana, S.Sos., MM, received directly by the Board of Commissioners and Directors of GTSI, as well as the Management of PT Java Satu Regas (JSR).
"This visit is part of our educational program for the community, especially academics, to get to know the LNG industry," said Tammy Meidharma, President Director of GTSI.
Tammy also added that by looking closer to FSRU Java Satu, he will increasingly know the role of FSRU in Indonesia's energy security and is also a key element of national sovereignty and national defense.
Tammy also added that as a shareholder of PT Jawa Satu Regas which oversees FSRU Jawa Satu, he welcomed and appreciated the visit from the Energy Resilience Study Program of the Defense Management Faculty of the Defense University of the Republic of Indonesia (FMP Defense University RI).
"We appreciate the initiation of this Defense University Study Program, and we are using this opportunity to introduce a part of the national energy infrastructure that has a strategic role for national energy security. Where FSRU Java One is one of the important facilities used for the storage and regasification of liquefied natural gas (LNG), which is then distributed for energy needs in Indonesia," he added.
During the visit, the FMP Defense University RI team was received by GTSI and JSR management and given a detailed explanation of the FSRU operation, the security system and challenges in FSRU management. Also held an open discussion session between students and Prodi lecturers and GTSI Directors and JSR President Director Indra Trigha, as well as a team tasked with carrying out operations at the FSRU.
