First Lady Iriana Releases Hundreds Of Tukik On Elak-Elak Beach Lombok
LOMBOK - First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo together with the Solidarity Action Organization for the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet Era (Oase KIM) released 300 hatchlings on Elak-Elak Beach, Sekotong District, West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
Before releasing the hatchlings, First Lady Iriana and Oase KIM carried out a pearl harvest at the Lombok Sea Cultivation Fisheries Center.
After harvesting the pearl, First Lady together with Oase KIM then headed to Elak-Elak Beach to review and provide education on plastic waste recycling and coral transplantation to elementary and vocational school students on the beach.
It is hoped that through recycling waste, it can provide added value economically to the surrounding community.
Not only that, in the same place, First Lady and Oase KIM also carried out cleaning up the garbage and ended by releasing the hatchlings into the open sea accompanied by dozens of elementary school students. It is hoped that through marine ecosystem activities in the area it will be maintained.
One of the ministerial wives who are members of Oase KIM, Annisa Pohan Yudhoyono, admitted that she was happy with the activity which was also attended by the First Lady.
He also hopes that the cleanliness of tourist destinations will be maintained and the hatchlings that have been released by the First Lady with Oase KIM into the high seas can still live and be big quickly.
"Hopefully the hatchlings will stay alive, yes, continue to be healthy and big quickly. The beach is also clean," said the wife of the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono.

Iriana and her entourage also visited the Dekranasda exhibition at the Mandalika SEZ, Central Lombok Regency, which consists of local products, local culinary and local baristas.
