Police Arrest 8 Youths Who Persecuted Residents In Palangka Raya
PALANGKA RAYA - Palangka Raya City Resort Police, Central Kalimantan arrested eight youths suspected of being linked to cases of mistreatment by residents.
Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Palangka Raya Police, Kompol Ronny M Nababan, said that eight youths suspected of being involved in the persecution case on Jalan Temanggung Tilung I, Jekan Raya District, apart from being arrested, were also questioned by local police investigators.
"It is true that in the meantime, eight youths suspected of molesting four teenagers with the initials YA, WI, AL and JU were questioned regarding the incident," said Ronny M Nababan as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, May 30.
Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the Palangka Raya Police, Iptu Sukrianto, said that the case had been handled by the Satreskrim Polresta Palangka Raya. Even of the eight people who were arrested, two suspected of being perpetrators had also been investigated intensively, and they were even strongly suspected that there were other perpetrators.

The police also secured evidence in the form of sharp weapons, flower pots and trash bins as a means of hitting the victim.
"This case also caught the attention of the Palangka Raya Police because it went viral on social media. The police received the report and immediately moved quickly to deal with the problem, so that the cases could be accounted for by the perpetrators," he said.
The video of the persecution had gone viral and became the talk of residents in Kota Cantik, nicknamed Palangka Raya City.
Even the video was also spread to several social media and WhatsApp groups, until finally the case is now being handled by the local police.
