Gibran Asks For Central Java Provincial Government Budget Assistance For Revitalization Of Manahan Velodrome
Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka asked for a budget from the Central Java Provincial Government to revitalize the velodrome of Manahan Stadium.
"In the near future Solo will host the AFF U-16 international event, so special touch and attention from the province needs to be needed. The Velodrome has never been revitalized since Pak Harto's time," he said on the sidelines of the 2024 Central Java Provincial Development Rembug in Solo, Central Java, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, May 30.
He said, if the velodrome is touched, it will get better. The budget he proposed for the repair of Manahan's velodrome is IDR 35 billion.
"Of course it will have a positive effect on the economy, hospitality. We want to brand Solo as a sports city," he said.
In addition to velodrome, his party also hopes that the Central Java Provincial Government will provide assistance for the repair of uninhabitable houses (RTLH).
"So far, for our RTLH from the APBD, the private CSR has also been massive. But if there is encouragement from the province, it will help us more," he said.
He said the imposition of RTLH was closely related to the handling of stunting in Solo.

According to him, it is important to see the many developments in Solo in the future.
"I believe that in the future Solo, Solo Raya can become a power house, trigger, a center of economic growth. It is important to reduce sectoral egos, each synergizing for economic growth," he said.
