This Is The Cause Of Peugeot 408 Top Variants Being The Best Selling One In Malaysia

JAKARTA - Peugeot has launched the 408 model in the Malaysian market. This crossover-style car is known to have obtained 300 orders since the start of this year's booking period.

Launching Paultan, Wednesday, May 29, the French manufacturer noted that the highest variant, GT, was the best-selling in the 408 lineup. Then, followed by Premium and the basic variant of Allure ranks last.

In detail, the GT variant contributes as much as 60 percent of the total bookings. Then, Premium with 22 percent and Allure amounted to 18 percent. According to the manufacturer, this is clear evidence that this model has a good level of popularity in neighboring countries.

The GT variant is the best-selling one, not without reason. This type is the most sporty and striking when compared to the other two trims.

On the outside, the Peugeot 408 GT has a Monolithe black rim design, automatic matrix LED headlights, the front grip is given the same color as the body, and the 3D LED backlight is a 3D kark' that has become the hallmark of this brand.

The interior of this car also looks luxurious and futuristic. The cabinet for the GT variant gets a Nappa leather seat and a number of features such as the massage function. Meanwhile, trim Premium will get a leather seat and the Allure variant has a vinyl trim in it.

Further highlights of the GT variant include 3D quartz i-Cockpit system instruments with configurable i-Toggle controls, 10-peaker Focal audio, and cabin air cleaning systems.

For the kitchen runway, both GT and two other variants carry the same engine, namely 1.6 liter PureTech turbocharged 4-cylinder alert which can spur up to 218 ps of power and the 300 Nm peak torque combined with eight automatic acceleration transmissions.

Launched in Malaysia last month, the latest Peugeot 408 is priced from 146,055 ringgit (Rp501.8 million) for Allure, then Premium worth 166,055 ringgit (Rp570.6 million), and GT with 196,055 ringgit (Rp673.6 million).
