The appearance of the Indonesian Women's Volleyball Team at the 2024 AVC Challenge is not as tough as the previous edition. You see, the Red and White Team fielded young players.
Indonesia's journey this year in the group stage is also not flashy. They only finished fourth in the Pool B standings with a collection of three points from the results of one win and three defeats.
The only win came against Singapore (3-0) with scores 25-14, 25-13, and 25-14.
In three other matches, Indonesia lost to Hong Kong 0-3 (22-25, 24.26, and 19-25), lost to Kazakhstan 0-3 (17-25, 13-25, and 22-25), and last lost against Vietnam 1-3 (17-25, 15-25, 27-25, and 13-25).
In fact, the Indonesian Women's Volleyball Team had the opportunity to compete for fifth place. However, they lost against India 1-3 (16-25, 32-30, 20-25, and 25-27).
As a result, they were thrown into the race for seventh place.
Meanwhile, at the 2024 AVC Challenge Cup, Vietnam returned to the final like last year. They have the opportunity to defend the title.
However, this opponent in the final is Kazakhstan, which last year did not participate. In the 2023 AVC Challenge final, Vietnam met Indonesia at that time.
