Kompolnas Asks West Java Police To Find Evidence About Two Fugitives In The Vina Case Who Were Removed From The DPO
The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) has encouraged the West Java Police to continue to look for evidence to ensure the whereabouts of two fugitives, Andi and Dani, in the alleged murder case against Vina and Rizky alias Eky.
Investigators are known to remove the names of the two fugitives from the wanted list or DPO.
"We hope that it is temporary, we continue to encourage further investigation of evidence showing who the alleged perpetrators are with the names Andi and Dani, until the trial process for the suspect Pegi is held and there is a court decision," said Kompolnas member Yusuf Warsim, in his statement, Wednesday, May 29.
The suggestion was conveyed directly to the West Java Police Chief Inspector General Akhmad Wiyagus during a meeting on Tuesday, May 28.
Investigators are asked to continue to look for authentic evidence regarding the existence or absence of the two fugitives in order to answer a big question mark regarding Vina's murder case.
On the other hand, Yusuf conveyed that based on the results of the confirmation made by Kompolnas to the West Java Police Chief, there was no element of negligence in the Cirebon Police at the beginning of the handling of the case.
However, obstacles were found in the investigation process when the suspects withdrew their statements as stated in the Investigation Report (BAP).
"Indeed, there were obstacles when there was the revocation of the BAP, especially the 5 suspects at that time, but that was not an obstacle that could not be overcome by investigators," said Yusuf.
The West Java Regional Police corrected the DPO in the murder and rape case of Vina Cirebon with her lover, Eki. From the previous three, now there is one person.
"I emphasize here, all suspects are not 11 but 9. So that the DPO is only 1," said the West Java Regional Police's Dirkrimum Kombes Surawan.

There are two other names besides Pegi alias Perong who were recently arrested by the police because the perpetrators have different names.
"After we carried out an in-depth investigation, it turned out that the 2 names mentioned so far were just nonsense. So there were no other suspects," he said.
