OIKN Chief Reveals Burj Boss Khalifa Interested In Investment In These Three Sectors
JAKARTA - Head of the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) Bambang Susantono talked about Emaar Properties' investment interest in IKN. This follows the visit of the company from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Sunday, May 26, 2024.
It is known that Emaar Properties is one of the largest real estate companies in the world to develop the world's tallest Building, Burj Khalifa. In the momentum of his visit to IKN, he was accompanied by Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir.
Bambang said that Emaar was impressed with the new capital city mega project and was interested in participating in its development. However, for the realization of its investment, both parties are still in the negotiation stage.
"Yesterday, Mr. Erick also brought it from Emaar. He was also impressed, but we are in negotiations, right," he said when met by reporters at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Senayan, Tuesday, May 28.
He explained, the negotiation process to determine the amount of return or yield from the project to be carried out at IKN, how much OIKN received and how much for Emaar.
According to him, Emaar is at least interested in building three sectors ranging from energy, transportation or property. However, the property giant is still in the process of calculating to make decisions.
"Emaar is interested in several types. Later he will calculate what is in energy, transportation or property. Those are the three that we talked about yesterday, have not crystallized, yes, it is still in process," he said.

Previously, the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) revealed that the visit of SOE Minister Erick Thohir and company leader Emaar Properties from the United Arab Emirates, Mohamed Alabbar to Nusantara, East Kalimantan, proved a great interest in investing in IKN.
"Today the leadership of Emaar, a property company and other global fields from the UAE saw firsthand the progress of development at IKN with the Head of OIKN, Minister of SOEs and other officials. Proving great interest from foreign investors to prove development at IKN and very interested in considering every opportunity to support the archipelago," said OIKN spokesman Troy Pantouw.
It is known, OIKN opens the widest opportunity for potential investors, both from local, domestic and foreign.
