BRI Records BRI KUR Distribution Reaches IDR 59.96 Trillion Until The End Of April 2024

JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk noted that during January to April 2024, BRI managed to distribute People's Business Credit (KUR) worth IDR 59.96 trillion to 1.2 million debtors.

This achievement is equivalent to 36 percent of the target for KUR distribution which was broken down by the government to BRI in 2024, which was IDR 165 trillion.

Micro Business Director Supari revealed that the majority of BRI KURs were distributed to the production sector, with a proportion of 55.95 percent.

"In general, BRI's micro business strategy in 2024 will focus on empowering in front of financing. BRI as a bank that is committed to MSMEs already has an empowerment framework starting from the basic phase, integration, to interconnection," Supari said, Tuesday, May 28.

Supari said, BRI will continue to implement the strategies that have been implemented so far to encourage the distribution of KUR. This strategy is through the concept of revitalizing micro marketers which are financial advisors with the concept of controlling the ecosystem of an area. This will be the backbone of the implementation of BRI-powered programs, such as BRILiaN Village, My Life Cluster, Local Inspirative Figures (FIL), and LinkUMKM (online empowerment platform).

"Through these various empowerment programs, BRI seeks to provide one stop solutions to micro business actors, not only in the financial sector, but also non-financial in accordance with the needs of MSME actors," continued Supari.

Supari said BRI and the government have a commitment to encourage KUR customers to advance to class. On this basis, Supari continued, the government enforces the rules for the maximum period of KUR acceptance to adjustment of KUR interest.

"Adjustments are made so that people don't feel comfortable KUR continues, but go up to class. The cycle shouldn't be continuous and the interest is also getting closer to commercial. After that, it is encouraged to accelerate graduation," said Supari.

BRI is optimistic that it can fulfill KUR distribution for this year worth IDR 165 trillion in September 2024. this can be achieved by accelerating the graduation or efforts to make existing customers advance to class. On the other hand, KUR distribution is also driven by the expansion of the reach of new recipients.

"For this year, we will distribute KUR to more than 3.7 million customers from the pipeline of 7 million. We have also prepared our old customers, approximately 2 million we will classify," concluded Supari.
