Surakarta City Government Add Malioboro Style Corridor
SOLO - The Surakarta City Government has again added a Malioboro-style corridor as has been done in the Gatot Subroto area.
This time, the corridor that is arranged resembles the Malioboro area, namely the Teuku Umar Corridor or the Keprabon area.
Regarding the arrangement, the Head of the Surakarta City Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency (DPUPR) Nur Basuki in Solo, Central Java, Monday said that the arrangement was carried out to maximize the culinary potential in the area.
According to him, the Surakarta City Government has allocated a budget of IDR 2 billion for the arrangement of the Umar Measuring Corridor. The arrangement will include improvements to drainage, utilities, pedestrians, and street lighting (PJU).
He said the arrangement would start from the drainage and utilities channels. Later, the area will not have a cable network passing over the building because everything will be planted in the ground so that the area looks looser.
Before the pedestrian arrangement, the drainage arrangement first and the utilities arrangement. So the cables there will be lowered later," he said.
