Only 53 Percent Of Surabaya Embarkation Hajj Pilgrims Have Been Departed To The Holy Land
The departure of the pilgrims has entered wave II. As of Sunday, May 26, 2024, at the Surabaya Embarkation Hajj Dormitory has dispatched 56 groups to the Holy Land. With a total of 20,764 people or 53%.
Secretary of the Organizing Committee for Hajj (PPIH) of the Surabaya Embarkation, Abdul Haris, revealed that among the tens of thousands of pilgrims who had been dispatched, there were several pilgrims whose departure had been delayed at the Hajj Dormitory.
Currently, there are six pilgrims whose departures have been delayed. Four of them are pilgrims, because they are being treated at the Haji Hospital in Surabaya, and 2 are companions.
"Alhamdulillah, 15 people were delayed due to being treated at the Hajj Hospital and their companions yesterday, nine people have been declared fit for flying, including their companions. Today only six pilgrims have their departures delayed in the Hajj dormitory," said Abdul Haris, Sunday, May 26.

Today, Surabaya Embarkation received the arrival of four groups, namely groups 57, 58, and 59 from Banyuwangi and batch 60 which are a combination of Sidoarjo and Banyuwangi.
In this year's Hajj season departure, Surabaya Embarkation dispatched 39,322 people out of a total of 106 groups. They come from East Java, East Nusa Tenggara, and Bali Provinces.
