Today, Wife, Children, And Grandchildren Presented By KPK Prosecutors At SYL Corruption Trial
JAKARTA - The follow-up trial of the alleged extortion and gratification case with the defendant former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) was again held today, Monday 27 May. The plan is for the KPK prosecutor to present SYL's wife, children, and grandchildren as witnesses.
"The next trial is scheduled for Monday, May 27, 2024," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri, quoted Monday, May 27.
SYL stumbled on allegations of extortion, gratification, and money laundering (TPPU) totaling IDR 44.5 billion. He was charged with two of his former subordinates, namely the inactive Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture Kasdi and the inactive Director of the Ministry of Agriculture M Hatta.
In the previous trial on Wednesday, May 22, the Director of PT Haka Cipta Loka, Hendra Putra, who was sitting as a witness, revealed his communication with the former Sub-Coordinator for Maintenance of the General Bureau and Procurement of the Ministry of Agriculture, Gempur Aditya. The communication discussed the question of asking for money for the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture.
"Leaders are all now" he said (Defense). "Please help us to get through the leadership's request every month. "Yes, I say 'what am I helping? It's just that I don't have a lot of money, uncle.' Don't worry, I'll give you a job later. 'Yes, I have," said Hendra while imitating Gempur's words.
In the same trial, the protocol of the Minister of Agriculture, Rininta Octarini when she was a witness said Indira Chunta Thita as SYL's daughter and Andi Tenri said Radisyah or Aunt as SYL's grandson had asked for a plane ticket. The money came from the Ministry of Agriculture.

Still at the trial, Director of CV Maksima Selaras Budi, Fajar Noviansyah admitted that he had been asked to pay Ayun Sri Harahap's inpatient, who is SYL's wife. In fact, Fajar was in mourning at that time.
The KPK prosecutor charged SYL with extorting his subordinates and receiving gratuities of up to Rp. 44.5 billion while occupying a position as Minister of Agriculture. The tens of billions were used for SYL's personal interests and his family. Some of them were revealed for invited gifts, Nasdem Party, religious events, aircraft charters, natural disaster relief, overseas needs, Umrah, and sacrifices.
