Eliane Elias Entertains Brazilian Music Irama Connoisseur At The Java Jazz Festival 2024
Eliane Elias is one of the most awaited performers for jazz music at the Java Jazz Festival 2024 which will be held at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. The famous Brazilian musician performed twice, on Friday, May 25 and Saturday, May 26.
"I'm very happy to be back in Jakarta after 15 years. Tonight we will have fun with Brazilian music," said Eliane Elias after bringing "To Each His Dulcinea" as the opening repertoar.
Overall, there is no significant difference from Elias' performances on Friday and Saturday. However, the audience still filled the room to see the performance of the 64-year-old singer and practitioner.
Next, Elias performed 'Aquarela do Brazil', a classic Brazilian song written by Ary Barroso. Then, he continued his appearance by featuring Vocé and Sambou Sambou.
Thousands of spectators enjoyed the appearance of Eliane Elias who played with the quartet concept with Leandro Pellegrino (Spanish guitar), Marc Johnson (kontrabas), and Rafael Barata (drums).
Elias also performed his song with Djavan, At First Sight, which is the material in his upcoming new album.

Elane Elias features the rich and dynamic typical Brazilian music, from bossanova's rhythm to samba, which has been received all over the world, especially for those who enjoy jazz.
Before closing his appearance, Eliane Elias performed the best known song of Indonesian jazz connoisseurs, Smen Dan kano Samba, with the audience singing in the chorus part of the song.
