Rob Floods On The Jakarta Coast, DKI BPBD Deploys Officers To Order Inundation
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta BPBD has deployed personnel to minimize the impact of tidal waves on coastal areas through coordination with elements of the Water Resources Service, the Highways Office, and the Gulkarmat Service.
One of the efforts made was to suck up puddles and function clogged water lines through coordination with the village head and sub-district head on the north coast.
"We are targeting inundation to recede in a short time," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, May 25.
BPBD DKI also issued an appeal for coastal communities to always be careful and increase awareness of potential inundation.
"In an emergency, immediately call telephone number 112. This service is free and operates for 24 hours non-stop," he said.
Previously, the BMKG issued an early warning of coastal flooding (rob) on May 21-29, 2024* due to the phenomenon of a new moon phase on May 21, 2024, which has the potential to increase the maximum sea level in the form of coastal flooding or tidal flooding in the northern coastal area of Jakarta.

The latest development of the DKI Jakarta BPBD noted that three RTs in North Jakarta were affected by tidal flooding until Saturday morning.
"The tidal flood occurred in Pluit Village and Penjaringan Village, North Jakarta," said Head of BPBD DKI Jakarta Isnawa Adji in Jakarta, Saturday.
The tidal flood that occurred in Pluit Village with a height of 15 centimeters to 40 centimeters.
Then for Penjaringan Village as high as 10 centimeters.
"This flood occurred due to high tides," he said.
