Action Of Garbage Truck Drivers, Council Asks Bogor City Government To Pay Attention To Welfare
BOGOR - Chairman of Commission III of the Bogor City DPRD, Zenal Abidin, responded to the strike carried out by hundreds of garbage truck drivers belonging to the Bogor City Environment Agency (DLH), last Wednesday.
Based on information received by Zenal, 130 truck drivers demanded operational costs given by DLH Bogor City to drivers to support their performance.
Zenal also considered that an incident like this should not have happened if the budget planning and budget use carried out by the Bogor City DLH were in accordance with the needs in the field.
"Things like this should be planned during the preparation of the APBD if the program is outlined according to the needs in the field," said Zenal.
Zenal also asked the Bogor City DLH to immediately communicate this with the existing outsourced service providers and truck drivers, in order to find a solution immediately.
Zenal emphasized that what must be prioritized at this time is that the process of transporting garbage does not stop for too long because it will interfere with public comfort and health.
"The point is that this must be discussed with all parties. DLH must actively find a solution, because if it is allowed to drag on it can have a bad impact on the community," explained Zenal.
He hopes that incidents like this will not happen again, because of course this tarnishes the good name of Bogor City, which at the beginning of the year won the Adipura trophy.

"The Bogor City Government also doesn't want the Adipura trophy, but doesn't pay attention to colleagues who work in the field. Yesterday he said all victory, don't let some parties feel neglected," he concluded.
For this incident, Commission III of the Bogor City DPRD immediately sent a letter to the Bogor City DLH to hold a working meeting which will be held next week.
