There Are 60,385 People Will Crowd Borobudur Temple Ahead Of The 2024 Vesak Celebration
Tourists began crowding the Magelang area and its surroundings ahead of the long 2024 Vesak holiday on 23-26 May 2024.
The Aviation BUMN Holding and Tourism of PT Aviasi Wisata Indonesia (Persero) or InJourney also estimates that there will be an increase in visitors to Borobudur Temple, which will be the location for the celebration of the Tri Suci Waisak 2568 BE.
During the long holiday period of Vesak 2024 during May 18-26 2024, the number of visitors to Borobudur Temple is estimated at 60,385 people.
This figure increased by 31.3 percent when compared to the long Waisak holiday period in 2023, which was May 30 to June 7, 2023, the number of visits was recorded at 45,991 people.

The celebration of the Tri Suci Vesak Nasional 2568 BE/2024 will be centered at Borobudur Temple. This year, the Waisak seconds will fall on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 20.52.42 WIB.
The peak event for the Vesak celebration will be held on May 23, 2024 with the Waisak Order event from the Mendut Temple to Borobudur Temple, the commemoration of Waisak seconds, the Borobudur Temple predaksina, and the release of the Vesak lantern.

"We take into account that there will be an increase of 56 percent of passengers traveling through YIA on the D-1 long holiday moments this weekend compared to passenger traffic the previous day," he said.
Ruly added that during the period leading up to and long weekend holidays on May 22-26, 2024, it is predicted that there will be 64,297 passengers via YIA. In detail, 32,206 passengers arrived and 32,091 departing passengers, supported by a total prediction of 431 aircraft movements.
On the D-1 ahead of this weekend's long holiday, namely on May 22, 2024, 12.879 passengers are projected through YIA, of which 7.014 passengers arrive in YIA and 5.865 passengers will depart.
