It Was Revealed At The Trial, The Ministry Of Agriculture Borrowed An Official Car To SYL's Grandson
JAKARTA - Witness to the case of the Minister of Agriculture for the 2019-2023 period Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL), Fadjry Djufry, revealed that the Ministry of Agriculture had lent an official car to SYL's grandson, Andi Tenri Bilang, during 2020 to 2023.
Fadjry, Head of the Ministry of Agriculture's Agricultural Instrument Standardization Agency, said the car was an official car of the Ministry of Agriculture's Agricultural Research and Development Agency (Balitbang).
"It was an office car, a state car, which we borrowed for several years. The Toyota NAV1 car," said Fadjry during a witness examination hearing at the Jakarta Corruption Court (Tipikor), reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 22.
He explained that the request for a loan for the Ministry of Agriculture's car for SYL's grandson was carried out by the former SYL aide, Panji Hartanto.
Fadjry explained that the car loan was carried out because SYL's grandson was an Expert Minister at the Ministry of Agriculture's Legal Bureau.
"I heard from the story of friends and personal secretary of the Minister that his grandson is an expert at the Legal Bureau. He is indeed a master of law," he added.
Previously, SYL was charged with extortion and received gratuities totaling Rp44.5 billion in cases of alleged corruption at the Ministry of Agriculture in the period 2020 to 2023.
The extortion was carried out with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture for the 2021 period, Kasdi Subagyono, and the Director of Agricultural Equipment and Machinery of the Ministry of Agriculture in 2023 Muhammad Hatta, who was also a defendant.

Both of them are coordinators of collecting money from echelon I officials and their staff, including to pay SYL's personal needs.
For his actions, SYL was charged with violating Article 12 letter e and Article 12 letter Bjuncto Article 18 of Law (UU) Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code (KUHP) jo. Article 64 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
