Aceh's Bireuen Kejari Executes IDR 1.85 Billion From PNPM Corruption Cases
BANDA ACEH - Bireuen District Attorney's Office (Kejari), Aceh, executed more than IDR 1.85 billion as money to compensate for state losses from two corruption cases of the National Community Empowerment Program (PNPM).
Head of the Bireuen District Attorney's Office, Munawal Hadi, said that the compensation for state losses would then become a deposit of non-tax state revenue (PNBP) for the Bireuen District Attorney for the 2024 fiscal year.
"The money amounting to Rp1.85 billion is payment or execution of two PNPM corruption cases with four convicts whose court decisions already have permanent legal force," said Munawal Hadi.
The two cases are criminal acts of corruption in the savings and loan funds of women's groups at the Mandiri PNMP in Jeumpa District, Bireuen Regency, in 2022 with two convicts amounting to more than Rp1.11 billion.
Two of the convicts, namely Edi Hasan Basri and Sukmawati. Edi Hasan Basri was found guilty by the panel of judges at the Corruption Court at the Banda Aceh District Court with a sentence of 4 years in prison, while Sukmawati was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison.

The second case is the criminal act of corruption in the savings and loan funds of the women group at PNPM Mandiri in Gandapura District, Bireuenm Regency from 2019 to 2023, with two convicts amounting to IDR 743.76 million.
Two convicts in the case were Saiful Mualli and Fitriah. The two convicts were found guilty by the panel of judges at the Corruption Court at the Banda Aceh District Court each 1 year and 6 months in prison.
"The convicts are currently serving sentences in correctional institutions. Execution to recover state losses caused by the criminal act of corruption in the savings and loan funds at the Mandiri PNPM," said Munawal Hadi.
