Ministry Of Transportation Hands Over Assets Of 3 Ports In Palu Bay To KSOP

The Directorate General of Sea Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) handed over the assets of three ports in Palu Bay to the Palu Bay Class II Harbormaster and Port Authority Office (KSOP), after rehabilitation.

"The handover was made after the signing of the Asset Handover Report (BASTA) of the Palu Bay Port, namely Donggala Port, Wani Port, and Pantoloan Port from the Central Port Functional Improvement Work Unit (Satker) to the Paluk Bay Class II KSOP," said Director General of Sea Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation Antoni Arif Priadi quoted from ANTARA, Tuesday, May 21.

The signing of BASTA was carried out by the Director of Laboration of the Directorate General of Sea Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation Muhammad Masyhud with the Head of KSOP Class II Palu Alexander Seleng Allokendek witnessed by the Director General of Sea Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation Antoni Arif Priadi.

Antoni said that the rehabilitation and reconstruction work of Paluk Palu Port aims to restore port infrastructure that was affected after the natural disaster, including the economic recovery of the surrounding community where Teluk Palu Port is one of the main port hierarchies in the central region of Indonesia.

He said the port work was carried out from November 2019 to March 2024 through the Loan Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) against Loan No. 3792-INO: Emergency Assistance for Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (EARR).

"Therefore, I express my highest gratitude and appreciation to all parties, especially the Directorate of Portation and Construction Services Providers who have collaborated in assisting the completion of the Palu Bay Harbor rehabilitation and reconstruction work project," he said.

Antonu hopes that all work results can function properly and benefit all parties, especially the Paluk Palu Class II KSOP, so that these facilities can be used to encourage the progress of the regional and national economy.
