Israeli Troops Merangsek To Jabalia, Air Attack Kills 5 People In Rafah
JAKARTA - Israeli troops rushed to the Greater Java camp in northern Gaza, destroying residential districts with tank and air bombings. Meanwhile, Israeli airstrikes killed five people in the city of Rafah.
Israel's attacks simultaneously on the northern and southern edges of the Gaza Strip this month have led to a new exodus of hundreds of thousands of people leaving their homes, and severely limiting the flow of aid, thereby increasing the risk of hunger.
In Jabalia, Israeli soldiers used bulldozers to clean up shops and property near local markets, residents said, in a military operation that began nearly two weeks ago.
Israel said it had returned to the camp, where it claimed it had eliminated Hamas a few months ago, to prevent militant groups controlling Gaza from rebuilding its military operations there.

Gaza's Health Authority and Civil Emergency Services said dozens of bodies were still trapped under the rubble of houses and on roads in Jabalia, but rescue teams had not been able to reach them.
Israel destroyed the camp over the people's heads, bombing never stopped, and the world called for more food to enter Gaza. "We want to save lives, not extra food," said Abu El-Nasser, a resident of Jabalia, who fled near Gaza City.
