Tips For Choosing Tourism Bus POs To Avoid Accidents
JAKARTA - Recent bus accidents are a reminder for the public to be more careful in choosing the Tourism Bus Otobus (PO) Company.
Chairman of the West Java Autobus Association (IPOBA) Cipto Prasojo asked consumers to always pay attention to the legality of bus POs before using selected transportation services.
This is to prevent accidents that are often caused by negligence by operators who do not meet safety standards.
"Yes, choose those who are members of the official association, from there check whether the legality of the car is still valid or not and don't be tempted by cheap prices. For consumers, they must ask the bus company," Cipto said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 20.
Cipto also appealed to the bus user community to first check physical feasibility in order to ensure safety and security during the trip.
"Then in the field, the physical check will be the condition of the bus, like the tires. But at the beginning, asking for legality first was still valid or not, otherwise it should not be rented," he said.
He hopes that with this appeal, the people, especially in West Java, are more aware of the importance of choosing a legal bus PO, so as to reduce the risk of accidents and increase safety on the highway.
