"This is to avoid delays or other things that cause fatigue," Winwin wrote.
In fact, Iraq has confirmed it will qualify for the third round of the 2026 Asian Zone World Cup Qualifiers. Even so, Iraq still considers the remaining two matches against Indonesia and Vietnam an important match.
Meanwhile, for the Indonesian national team as the host, the match against Iraq is no less important.
As a second-placed resident of Group F, Shin Tae-yong's team only needed one win from the remaining two matches.
The Indonesian national team will meet Iraq (June 6, 2024) and the Philippines (June 11, 2024) at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Jakarta.
If they earn three points from the final two matches, the Indonesian national team will not only confirm one place in the third round of the 2026 Asian Zone World Cup Qualifiers, but also qualify for the 2027 Asian Cup.
