West Java Prosecutor's Office Searches Karawang Regency Government For Alleged Corruption Ruislagh With Intiland
The West Java High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) investigating team searched the office of the Karawang Regency Government regarding alleged corruption in the implementation of ruislagh (exchange) goods belonging to the Karawang Regency Government in the form of land with PT Intiland.
"The search is related to allegations of corruption in the implementation ofruislaghtana covering an area of 4,935 m2 belonging to the Regency Government located on Jalan Tuparev Karawang, with the land of PT Jakarta Intiland covering an area of 59,087m2 located in five locations in Karawang Regency," said Head of West Java Attorney General's Office Nur Sricahyawijaya as reported by ANTARA, Monday, May 20.
Cahaya explained that during the search process led by the Head of the Investigation Section of the West Java Prosecutor's Office, I Made Agus Sastrawan, starting at 08.00 WIB together with a team from the West Java Prosecutor's Office of Investigators.
The search was carried out in several locations, namely: Karawang Regency Government Office, Karawang Regency Secretary's Room; Public Works and Spatial Planning Office of Karawang Regency, Karawang Regency Financial and Asset Management Agency Office, and Residence Hall of Karawang Regency Secretary.
The search was carried out because there were allegations of unlawful acts, namely violating Article 5, Article 12 letter e, Article 11, Article 12 B of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended and supplemented by Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.

"From the results of the search, the Investigative Team confiscated several items including documents, computers and several other items," he said.
The case, added Cahya, is in the investigation stage based on the Investigation Letter of the Head of the West Java High Prosecutor's Office which has been issued.
And, the search was carried out based on the Search Order (B-4) of the Head of the West Java High Prosecutor's Office and the Determination of the Karawang District Court Number 80/Pen.Pid.B-GLD/2024/PN Kwg dated May 14, 2024.
