Avoid Motorbikes, Buses In Lombok Overturned After A Tree Collision

The Surya Kencana bus carrying approximately 30 passengers had a single accident or rolled over on the Pringgabaya highway, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province.

"The bus had an accident allegedly for avoiding motorcyclists who would turn, so as not to hit a motorcycle rider," said Head of Public Relations of the East Lombok Police, Iptu Nikolas Oesman, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 20.

He said, when he saw the motorbike turned, the bus driver on behalf of Ramli (46) immediately swerved and hit a coconut tree on the side of the road and this bus rolled over. In this incident there were no casualties, only the victims suffered injuries.

"The victim who was injured was immediately rushed to the nearest health center, and the case has been handled," he said.

According to the information gathered, before the incident the bus came from the direction of Pringgabaya to Labuhan Lombok, but upon arrival at the intersection of four at the crime scene (TKP), it drove a motorcycle carrying grass and turned and the bus vehicle was traveling at high speed, on Sunday afternoon.

Seeing a vehicle in front of the turn, the bus driver who was traveling at high speed could not control the vehicle, immediately swerved into a coconut tree on the side of the road to avoid a collision, and the bus vehicle had rolled over.

Residents who saw the incident immediately rushed to the TKP, and provided assistance to passengers who were injured by taking them to the puskesmas for treatment.

"To avoid unwanted things, the bus driver immediately secured himself to the Pringgabaya Police Station," he said.
