DKI MUI Firmly Asks Danone And Aqua Not To Use The Name Of NU Ulama
JAKARTA - The Danone and Aqua companies are considered to have damaged the reputation and integrity of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), Nadirsyah Hosen, and caused polemics.
This was said by a member of the DKI Jakarta Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) in Fatwa, Dr. Rasyid Mansur in the event 'Resisting the Dirty Action of Catut Nama Ulama' to reporters in Jakarta, Sunday, May 19.
According to Rasyid Mansyur, the profiteering of the names of the ulama should not have been carried out by the two companies. Moreover, the position of profiteering substantively contradicts what the ulama are fighting for. And he emphasized that the action of profiteering the names of ulama who are the successors of the teachings of the prophet was not repeated by the two companies.

"The profiteering of the name of this cleric should not be appropriate, because they are the heirs of the Prophet Muhammad Saw," he said.
Regarding the boycott of the products produced by these two companies, according to him, this is very important to do. Because, if the Indonesian people are able to follow up on the boycott, he believes Israel will not be able to buy weapons equipment anymore.
"I'm sure if all Indonesians don't use these products, they can't buy weapons anymore," he said.
According to him, the MUI fatwa regarding boycotts has been recommended to the government, he also emphasized that the government should immediately issue a law so that this boycott action runs according to its objectives.
"The fatwa has been discussed. We have even conveyed it to the government. We hope that the government will immediately issue a law regarding the boycott of this Israeli-affiliated product," he asked.
