Pengdarra Luncurkan Album Perdana Berjudul Ode Matahari
JAKARTA - The pop-folk unit from Bandung, Pendarra has just released its first full album with the title Ode Matahari.
This album is a new footprint of Arjunet, Desi Kinanthi, and Bale as a music group that debuted through the single Terbenam in June 2023.
Produced by Esa Prakasa, this album features a touch of the Driver who combines electronic texture with elements of pop-folk music, rock, and various types of sound experiments.
The 'Ode Matahari' is seen as a narrative depicting the emotional journey of a dim life in adversity towards a new hope that is bright. Each part is the phase of the journey, and every song is the story of every incident.
The song titled Short Journey which summarizes all events is the focus track of Pendarra in this album. Meanwhile, the single highlight Finish and Mewangi implies the theme of acceptance of failures in life and the process of self-awareness.
Through Ode Matahari, Pendarra also tries to summarize an emotional journey that binds listeners to a linear story presented in three parts.
The first part begins the story in a slumped situation with an atmosphere of sadness, anger, and despair.
They introduced album travel in the first part in an injured condition and a step that struggled, depicted with the slowly extinguished light around it. This section is represented by songs Redup, Terbenam, and Oldulabi.
