UCI MTB Eliminator Cup 2024, Bike Racing Able To Drive Regional Economic Growth
Palangka Raya - Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from Central Kalimantan, Agustiar Sabran, stated that the UCI MTB Eliminator Cup 2024 activity which was held on Sunday 19 May in Palangka Raya had succeeded in improving the regional economy.
"At the location of the activity, MSME actors in Palangka Raya are busy selling, so the community's economy continues to move well when there is an event like this," Agustiar Sabran said in Palangka Raya on Sunday, May 19.
Agustiar explained that the 2024 World Bike Championships and the Isen Mulang Cultural Festival (FBIM) which is also centered in Palangka Raya are very helpful for local people to get fortune.
"In addition, the wheels of the economy in the provincial capital also grow and develop according to the wishes of local governments," he added.
Agustiar invites the public to be more observant in seeing business opportunities in activities like this, so that they can develop their business and regions. He also revealed that this activity not only adds to the original regional income (PAD) but also attracts visitors from abroad and domestic tourists.

Agustiar, who is also the older brother of the Governor of Central Kalimantan, Sugianto Sabran, expressed his gratitude to the security forces such as the Police, TNI, Satpol PP, and others who have maintained security during the event.
"This activity certainly cannot be separated from the full support of the community and other stakeholders, so that it was successfully implemented," concluded Agustiar Sabran.
