Thailand Open 2024 Results: Ana/Tiwi Indonesian Single Representative In Final
JAKARTA - Indonesian women's doubles pair Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi became the sole representative of Indonesia in the final of the Thailand Open 2024.
Ana/Tiwi reached the final round of the BWF Super 500 event after defeating the second seed Rin Iwanaga/Kie Nakanishi in two straight games 21-12 and 21-10 at Nimibutr, Bangkok, Thailand, Saturday, Saturday afternoon WIB.
This is the first final of the Super 500 level tournament for Ana/Tiwi, who is the runner-up of the Madrid Spain Masters 2024.
"We thank God and it feels difficult to express with these words of success," said Ana in the statement.
In the final match on Sunday, Ana/Tiwi will meet the winner of Jongkolphan Kititharakul/Rawinda Prajongjai vs Tanisha Crasto/Ashwini Ponnappa from India.
"To face tomorrow's final, we don't know who the opponent is. Tonight we will study the video recording of how the opponent's game is," said Ana.

Indonesia actually has two representatives in the semifinals. However, one other representative failed to advance to the final round.
Another representative who was unable to get through the semifinals was the mixed doubles pair Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari.
The pair who had won a ticket to the 2024 Paris Olympics failed to advance to the final match after losing against Chinese representatives, Guo Xin Wa/Chen Fang Hui.
