DPC Level Training Completed, Central Java PDIP Starts Netting Candidates For Governor

After all stages of selecting candidates to the regions at the branch level have been completed, the Central Java PDIP will begin to open the selection of candidates for governor and deputy governor.

"We are waiting for the selection in all regencies/cities to be completed," said Central Java PDIP DPD Treasurer Agustina Wilujeng in Semarang, quoted from ANTARA, Saturday, May 18.

According to him, the DPC in all regencies/cities has been ordered to start screening candidates for regional heads.

In addition, he continued, all DPCs were also asked to establish communication with other political parties.

This, according to him, will also be done in the face of the 2024 Central Java gubernatorial election.

Even though PDIP Central Java has more than 20 percent of the DPRD seats, so that it is able to carry its own candidates, he said, the possibility of collaborating with other political parties will still be built.

"This governor election must be done together, we can't do it alone," he added.

As for the figure whose name has begun to appear to be carried, Agustina mentioned several names, such as the Chairman of the Central Java PDIP DPD Bambang Wuryanto and the Chairman of the Semarang City PDIP DPC Hendrar Prihadi.

PDIP, he continued, also did not rule out several names from outside the party to be carried in the 2024 Pilkada.
