Khofifah Hopes Gerindra-PAN Will Support Her And Emil Dardak In The East Java Gubernatorial Election

Former Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa hopes for support from the Gerindra Party and the National Mandate Party (PAN) for himself and former Deputy Governor of East Java Emil Elestiano Dardak in the 2024 Pilkada.

Khofifah conveyed this when she arrived at the official residence of the General Chairperson of the Golkar Party as well as Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto on Jalan Widya Chandra III, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.

"Democrats have confirmed it, then Golkar has done, and we hope that there will be support from Gerindra and PAN following," Khofifah said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, May 17.

Khofifah arrived at Airlangga's official residence at 19.10 WIB, while Emil Dardak arrived at 19.05 WIB. Then, Airlangga came at 19.12 WIB.

The three of them greeted each other and had a photo together to be immortalized by journalists.

Previously, Airlangga said his meeting with Khofifah, one of which was to discuss the certainty that Khofifah would run in the East Java gubernatorial election with Emil.

When asked by reporters about the certainty of Khofifah-Emil to run in pairs in the 2024 East Java gubernatorial election, Airlangga only gave a short answer.

"That's what it looks like," said Airlangga.

Airlangga also gave a signal of a meeting held at his official residence, the Widya Chandra area gave a positive result.

"Everything is positive," he said.
